Buena is a home-raised, old-style mare, sired by an old stallion we owned at the end of his life who we simply called Poco. He was one of the last grandsons of Poco Bueno left alive and traced over 40% of his blood to that horse. 
 
This mare is out of a daughter of Jax Fed Ex, whom you might recognize from our logo, and he was a grandson to both Doc Bar and Poco Tivio.

Buena is a substantial mare, built very much in the old bulldog Quarter Horse style, yet she maintains a pretty, feminine neck, head and face.  She's had some great foals to contribute to our program, and continues to do so.
