A born and bred Fleetwood mare, this is “Dell”. My late mother chose Dell as a special one, and she got a lot of special attention from my mother as a youngster. Though Dell is not a tall mare, she strikes me as a great model for what we get when we choose to use an old foundation type mare with a little more modern (or recognized) cowhorse type stallion. Dell has the compact, proper, feminine conformation we like to see in all our mares, and though she's easy to get along with she packs a little more sensitivity from her cowhorse top side.
